Kilwins was founded in 1947 by Don and Katy Kilwin. Since our founders started out with Heritage Chocolate, our dessert roster has grown over the years to include caramels, ice cream, and new fudge flavors. It’s not just our selection that’s grown—while we originally started with our flagship store in Petoskey, MI, we are now lucky enough to call many incredible states our homes.

Our Siesta Key ice cream store is just a few blocks from Sunset Beach, nestled among other restaurants and local cafes. When the sun gets too hot, or you’re ready for a midday snack, walk on over and sample a few of our signature ice cream and fudge flavors.

We offer assortments of chocolate truffles, caramels, and creams. We also offer all kinds of chocolate-covered confections, including cookies, pretzels, fruit, nut clusters, and marshmallows, dipped in our Heritage Chocolate.

Our Original Recipe Ice Cream comes in a variety of flavors and is made from only the highest quality ingredients. Between our many flavor combinations, ice cream toppings—and made-in-store waffle cones—we have everything you need to build the perfect frozen treat.

When we developed our Original Recipe Ice Cream in 1985, we had no idea how popular it would be. However, the new treat was a hit, and we knew we had to make it available at all of our Kilwins locations.

Since then, we have stayed dedicated to our original recipe. Our ice cream is still made from premium ingredients, and all of our flavors start with our original ice cream base. Plus, all of our flavors are kosher-certified.

We’re committed to perfection, which is why we only use our own transport trucks staffed by our own drivers to transport our ice cream. Our trucks are temperature-controlled to make sure the ice cream never melts or gets too hard while we’re transporting it to our Siesta Key ice cream store. 

To add an extra layer of protection, we store the ice cream in specially designed containers. This preserves the ice cream’s silky texture and rich flavor, ensuring it’s just as delicious in your cone as it was on the day it was made.
